In Head-to-Head Trial Generic Lipitor Edges Out Crestor

AstraZeneca’s leading cholesterol drug, Crestor, failed to show statistically significant benefit over Pfizer’s Lipitor, according to top-line results of a Phase IIIb trial. The results may boost sales of generic versions of Lipitor, soon to be competing with Crestor.
