FDA To Keep Publishing MOUs in FR, Concerns Raised About Transparency
A letter from device and diagnostic company Cook Group appears to be behind the FDA’s decision to withdraw a final rule on transparency of agency memoranda of understanding (MOUs). The final rule, published in the March 23 Federal Register, would have removed a requirement that MOUs between the FDA and other departments, agencies or organizations be published in the Federal Register. Instead, MOUs would be posted to the FDA website as part of efforts to lower printing costs.
