House Democrats Aim to Broaden FDA’s Foreign Powers

Given increasing concerns with the quality and integrity of drug products manufactured overseas, a group of Democratic congressmen is floating a draft of a bill that would give the FDA broader powers and bring the agency’s inspections of foreign plants in line with U.S.-based ones.
