Sublinox Shows Positive Results in Phase III Profile Study
Orexo has completed a pharmocological profile study of Sublinox for treatment of temporary sleeping disturbances. Sublinox (OX22), which contains zolpidem, is based on Orexo’s sublingual technology involving a tablet placed under the tongue for fast, effective absorption of the active substance across the oral mucosa. The study showed that Sublinox acts 30 percent faster than sanofi-aventis’ Ambien as a sleep aid, according to Orexo. The study will be part of the registration application Orexo plans to submit to the FDA later this year. |
