FDA, BMS Change Videx Labeling to Add Warnings
The FDA has changed labeling for Bristol-Myers Squibb’s (BMS) HIV drug Videx to show that taking allopurinol or ribavirin is contraindicated while on the HIV medicine. Changes added to the drug’s label for the powder and capsule forms also include revisions to the warnings and precautions, drug interactions and dosage-adjustment sections, the FDA says in an emailed statement.
