Antitrust Investigation by EC Expands With Inspections
The European Commission (EC) conducted surprise inspections of Teva Pharmaceutical Industries, Sandoz and other drugmakers in a continuing investigation of alleged anti-competitive practices to delay generic-drug competition. The inspections are a preliminary step in the investigation of suspected anti-competitive practices, but they don’t imply the companies have engaged in such behavior, the EC says in a statement.
