Eight major pharmaceutical companies are calling on drugmakers to publicize all clinical trial results — including unfavorable results — to address a “credibility gap” for industry-sponsored research. Sponsors should also provide access to more complete protocol information for studies and report the statistical methods used in analyses, according to new recommendations from the pharma companies and several medical journals.
