FDA’s Lead in Oncology Approvals May Be Short Lived, Expert Says
A new study shows the U.S. outpaces Europe in approving new cancer drugs, but that lead could be in jeopardy under the fifth authorization of the Prescription Drug User Fee Act. A report from the Tufts Center for the Study of Drug Development shows the FDA approved 33 percent more oncology drugs than the European Medicines Agency between 2000 and 2011.
