Authorized Generic Deals May Be a Thing of the Past, Lawyer Says
Drug companies’ patent settlements may no longer need clauses preventing authorized generic (AG) launches after Monday’s landmark court decision on pay-for-delay deals, a pharma lawyer says. Reverse settlements with side deals and other payments now will be presumed to be anticompetitive, Steve Maddox, partner with Knobbe Martens, said Wednesday.
