FDA Cites Calif. LapBand Clinic on Misleading Commercials, Billboards
Los Angeles weight-loss surgery clinic Lap-Band VIP has received an FDA warning letter for misleading marketing claims. According to the June 25 letter, the clinic misbranded the LapBand device in two television commercials and two billboards by not revealing risk information or requirements to qualify for the LapBand surgery, the June 25 letter states. The letter was recently posted to the FDA website.
