Tentative Settlement Reached in Risperdal Marketing Case, J&J Says
Johnson & Johnson (J&J) has a reached an agreement in principle with federal prosecutors to settle off-label marketing matters pending in three states, J&J said in an SEC filing Thursday. Assuming the deal is finalized, it will resolve the federal government’s claims under the federal False Claims Act and settle the Risperdal (risperidone) Medicaid-related claims for those states — Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and California — that opt into the settlement, the filing states.
