Recalls Continue as Reports of Opioid Overfills Still Bedevil Hospira
Hospira is recalling another lot of hydromorphone HCl injection after receiving fresh reports of overfills in the syringe-based drug delivery system. The Schedule II substance comes in a prefilled glass cartridge for use with the 2.5-mL carpuject device. But the affected product reportedly contains more than the 1-mL-labeled fill volume.
