“Most DTC marketers don’t get a cup of coffee without doing an ROI analysis,” blogger Rich Meyer writes. Today’s marketing though may not have as “black and white” an effect on ROI spreadsheets as it has in the past, he adds. “When it comes to DTC marketing, direct ROI has always been hard to measure because we can’t really measure the impact of what we do online or on social media.” It’s time to begin thinking about the consumers and what is best for them and the company brand, he concludes.
