APOTEX INFRINGES ON PAXIL, BUT COURT INVALIDATES PATENT
A federal appeals court has ruled that Apotex infringed on a patent covering GlaxoSmithKline’s (GSK’s) antidepressant Paxil (paroxetine HCl), but at the same time the appellate court ruled the patent invalid — a finding that frees Apotex and other firms to market the generic product.
