Study Results Positive for Insulin Pen
May 29, 2009
Novo Nordisk received promising outcomes from a study comparing its Next Generation FlexPen, a prefilled insulin delivery device, with SoloStar and KwikPen devices. Study data show that the FlexPen had a 12 percent to 25 percent lower injection force than SoloStar and a 35 percent to 41 percent lower force than KwikPen. Diabetes patients typically prefer insulin devices with a lower force of injection because they cause less discomfort during injections, Novo says in a statement.
