Medtronic Takes First Step Toward U.S. Sale of Artificial Pancreas

Medtronic has concluded a clinical trial that may yet make an artificial pancreas device with an automatic shut-off feature available to type 1 diabetics in the U.S. The results of the ASPIRE trial were published in the New England Journal of Medicine and presented at the American Diabetes Association meeting.
