Firm At Center of Anti-D Scare Has History of Recalls

The U.S. company at the center of the blood test scare has a history of product recalls, the Irish Independent has learned. New Jersey firm Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics – owned by pharmaceutical giant Johnson & Johnson – supplied five Irish hospitals with mislabeled test kits, which led to 220 new mothers being given the anti-D blood product in error.
