Stemgent Launches RNA Reprogramming Kit
Cambridge, Mass.-based Stemgent has introduced its StemRNA-SR reprogramming kit, the company said last week.
The kit, which features self-replicative RNA and microRNA technology, enables stem cell researchers to reprogram human fibroblast and blood-derived endothelial progenitor cells, the devicemaker claims.
ECPs have unique properties that make them genetically stable, and they can be manufactured from fresh or cryopreserved human peripheral and cord blood, the company says.
Stemgent is a subsidiary of Japanese firm ReproCell. — Jason Scott
