ECM Medical has acquired distribution rights for the Greater China region for Vertebral Technologies’ Interfuse System of novel spinal implants.
The InterFuse System is a modular implant that enables spinal surgeons to achieve an anterior lumbar interbody fusion footprint using familiar, less-invasive approaches.
The implant joins together through a rail-and-slot technique and is adaptable to each surgeon’s technique. Achieving the ALIF-sized footprint also provides the patient with optimal disc support, ECM says.
ECM, which describes China as a “key market,” will launch in Hong Kong and Macau during the fourth quarter, and in mainland China after regulatory approvals. — Michael Cipriano
