Roche to Close 4 Facilities in Restructuring of Manufacturing Network
Swiss drug giant Roche will close four facilities and slash about 1,200 jobs as it restructures its manufacturing network to focus on small molecule drugs.
The four plants set for closure are located in the U.S., Italy, Spain and Ireland. The restructuring effort will cost about $1.6 billion and run through 2021.
The company will invest about $300 million in a new facility in Switzerland to support future technology requirements.
