Opthalmic devicemaker Bio Light has snagged Canadian regulatory approval for its IOPtiMate system for the treatment of glaucoma.
The system reduces elevated intraocular pressure by enabling a CO2 laser-assisted procedure known as CO2 Laser-Assisted Sclerotomy Surgery.
Bio Light currently is marketing the system throughout Europe and Asia and is planning to initiate the regulatory approval process for the system in the U.S. — Michael Cipriano
