The European Commission has approved the merger of dental equipment supplier Sirona by Dentsply for $5.6 billion.
The approval is conditional upon the extension of licensing agreements between Sirona and its current suppliers of computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing blocks, according to the EC.
Dentsply and Sirona announced the merger in September and passed the FTC waiting period in November. The acquisition would create the world’s largest dental equipment maker. — Anisa Jibrell
