The UK’s Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency issued a warning that sterility may be compromised in Ecolab’s Klerpack BD syringe multi-pack due to small holes in the packaging.
If holes are present, there is a risk that the syringe may no longer be sterile. The holes cannot be detected visually, and there is a high likelihood of syringe packaging being compromised, Ecolab said.
The company alerted users to quarantine affected stock and perform a risk assessment for unexpired products using the affected batches of syringes. — Tamra Sami
