Teleflex is recalling the Willy Rusch Tracheostomy Tube Set due to the possibility that the connector is likely to disconnect from the tracheostomy tube during use on a ventilated patient.
A tracheostomy tube is a single-use device that is attached via the patient’s trachea during a tracheostomy to create safe airway access and provide a pathway to remove fluid from the trachea and lungs.
Devices were manufactured from June 2015 through December 2015 and distributed between July 2015 and May 2016. — Cynthia Jessup
