Abbott's Absorb Bioresorbable Stent Approved By MHLW

The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare (MHLW) in Japan has approved the company's Absorb bioresorbable heart stent.
Abbott's device is made of a naturally dissolving material, similar to dissolving sutures. Absorb disappears in approximately three years.
