ACT Acquires CE Mark for Combination Use With Stryker’s Temperature Control System
Chicago–based, Advanced Cooling System (ACT) received CE mark approval for use of its esophageal cooling device (ECD) with Stryker’s Altrix precision temperature management system by Stryker.
The ECD controls patient temperature using an enclosed 3-tube system inserted into the esophagus. Two lumen tubes attach to existing temperature modulation equipment while a third tube simultaneously allows gastric decompression and drainage. — Cynthia Jessup
