Stimwave Wins Australian Regulatory Approval for Its Freedom Spinal Cord Stimulation System
April 12, 2017
Miami–based Stimwave has gained regulatory approval from the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) for its Freedom spinal cord stimulation system.
The device is a wireless, fully programmable neuromodulator intended for the treatment of chronic pain of the back or legs.
The device delivers small pulses of energy that blocks pain signals before they reach the brain.
The Freedom SCS system is also approved in the European Union, the United States and Canada. — Cynthia Jessup
