Law Firm Withdraws CVS Suit, But Plans to Refile
August 30, 2017
Attorneys for the plaintiff in a lawsuit against CVS said they would withdraw the suit on behalf of their client, Megan Schultz, but plan to refile the complaint.
The suit accused the pharmacy chain of a fraudulently requiring her to pay $165.68 for a prescription that without insurance would only have cost $92, and failed to inform her she would pay less if she did not use her insurance.
CVS said it contacted the law firm, Hagens Berman, and pointed out “numerous factual misstatements” in the complaint.
