Korea Issues Five-Year Plan for Clinical Trials
August 27, 2019
South Korea’s Ministry of Food and Drug Safety has set out a five-year plan for clinical trials as the country increasingly becomes a hotspot for drug testing for treatment of rare and intractable diseases.
The plan aims to establish a clinical trial safety management system, to expand patient recruitment and to strengthen Korea’s position in the world market for clinical trials.
The ministry is also calling for the creation of a central institutional review board and a center to help educate trial participants.
