The FDA has granted 510(k) clearance to Life Spine’s Steerable Plateau Ti system, a spinal spacer that can be positioned upon insertion.
The implant, used in surgical treatments of spinal disorders, uses a curved design to adhere to the patient’s anatomy. It comes in lengths of 28mm and 32mm and heights from 9mm to 14mm.
The spacer is designed to restore front-to-back balance in the spine with options of 7 degrees and 12 degrees to address inward spinal curvature.
