Acutus Medical has received clearance from both the FDA and EU for an additional feature for its AcQMap contact mapping platform, a device that lets physicians see the electrical activation pattern of the heart during electrophysiology procedures.
The company’s SuperMap algorithm has been cleared for creating detailed maps of the left or right atrium in order to diagnose and treat arrhythmia patients faster.
“Adding the SuperMap mode to the AcQMap system enables users to visualize any atrial rhythm in under three minutes,” the company said.
