The FDA has granted an EUA for Emory Medical Laboratories’ SARS-CoV-2 receptor-binding domain (RBD) immunoglobulin G (IgG) test.
The enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) looks for the presence of immunoglobulin G, an antibody produced by the immune system when a virus attacks.
The test is only authorized for use at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.
