Infervision has received 510(k) clearance from the FDA for its InferRead Lung CT.AI application that analyzes CT scans to help radiologists diagnose lung diseases.
The artificial intelligence-based algorithm automatically identifies and labels lung nodules of different types to support radiologists in their review of chest scans.
The algorithm can find hard-to-see nodules, so it is a useful new tool for cancer screening programs, the company said. The application has previously earned a CE Mark certification.
