New COVID-19 Research Consortium Launched in Europe
A new research consortium to develop COVID-19 treatments is getting under way in Europe and aims to bring together dozens of research teams from around the world.
The Corona Accelerated R&D in Europe (CARE) project was founded by Johnson & Johnson, which is co-leading the effort with 37 partners in the U.S., the UK, Belgium, China, Denmark, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain and Switzerland.
The consortium is being funded in part by a $93 million grant from Europe’s Innovative Medicines Initiative.
