Medovate has obtained a CE mark for its Safira (Safer Injection for Regional Anesthesia), a device that allows anesthesiology procedures to be carried out by a single operator.
The system includes a syringe, a driver unit and a foot pedal that give anesthesiologists better control over regional anesthesia injections, which normally require two operators.
The device is also equipped with a built-in system to control injection pressure in order to avoid high-pressure injections that can cause nerve damage.
