FDA Clears Masimo’s Rad-G Pulse Oximeter and Sensor
The FDA has granted Masimo 510(k) clearance for its handheld Rad-G pulse oximeter and an accompanying sensor.
The device provides pulse oximetry, respiration rate monitoring and measurements of other vital parameters for spot-checking and continuous monitoring. It includes a rechargeable battery that powers the unit for 24 hours between charges.
The connectable Rad-G Sensor, which eliminates the need for multiple sensor types, is cleared for monitoring both adult and pediatric patients.
