Minnesota-based OralDNA Labs has received an Emergency Use Authorization from the FDA for its coronavirus saline oral rinse test.
The OraRisk COVID-19 real-time polymerase chain reaction tests offers an alternative to nasal swab and saliva direct testing. The product identifies nucleic acid from SARS-CoV-2 in culture specimens.
Samples can remain viable for up to 72 hours and they do not need to be transported under refrigeration, the company said.
