3D Systems has received 510(k) clearance from the FDA for its custom 3D-printed maxillofacial surgical guides used in reconstructive surgeries.
The guides are printed for specific patients using the company’s Laserform TI and DuraForm ProX PA additive-printing materials.
Part of the company’s VSP system, the guides are developed in an online planning session between the surgeon and 3D Systems’ biomedical engineers.
