Gothenburg, Sweden-based endovascular simulation developer Mentice is acquiring the New York-based medical technology company Vascular Solutions (VSI) for approximately $5.6 million.
The VSI technology allows doctors to perform endovascular procedures by deploying real medical devices in a physical 3D structure that mimics the vessel structures of the human body.
Mentice said the combined product portfolio will allow it to offer simulations for every stage of a medical device’s development cycle.
