The FDA has granted ImmersiveTouch 510(k) clearance for its ImmersiveView Surgical Plan, a digital surgery platform.
The software allows surgeons to plan their surgeries with support from biomedical engineers, offering patient-specific 3D models for each individual plan.
The system includes virtual reality technology and 3D printing software, allowing surgeons to study patient-specific anatomy, tumor margins and vital structures using an Oculus headset and hand controllers.
