Steris Completes Its $850 Million Acquisition of Key Surgical
Steris has finalized its $850 million purchase of Key Surgical, a Minnesota firm that specializes in disposable hospital and surgical products.
The final acquisition price is likely to go down to approximately $810 million with tax deductions. Key Surgical manufactures sterile processing, endoscopy and operating room products and is expected to bring in $55 million in revenue for Steris in fiscal 2021.
“Key Surgical strengthens, complements and expands Steris’ product offerings and reach around the globe. Their focus on the sterile processing department, operating room and endoscopy fits perfectly with our core healthcare customers,” Steris President and CEO Walt Rosebrough said when the acquisition was first announced.
