The U.S. government has ordered an additional supply of Regeneron’s antibody cocktail (casirivimab and imdevimab) under Operation Warp Speed for free distribution to nonhospitalized COVID-19 patients.
The FDA authorized the cocktail for emergency use in November. The government is purchasing 1.25 million doses of the antibody cocktail through June 30, for a potential total supply of more than 1.5 million doses.
The antibody treatment is currently being evaluated in the UK’s RECOVERY trial of multiple COVID-19 treatments.
