Soliton’s Rapid Acoustic Pulse (RAP) technology has received 510(k) marketing clearance from the FDA for use in improving the short-term appearance of cellulite.
The device uses rapid pulses of high-pressure acoustic shockwaves to break apart fibrous tissue located underneath the skin that cause cellulite, delivering treatment in a single 40- to 60-minute session.
The treatment’s acoustic pulses are delivered in a way that avoids rapid changes in pressure or heating that could damage surrounding tissue.
