Safe Orthopaedics Earns CE Mark for Pedicle Screw

Safe Orthopaedics’ Hickory pedicle screw (PS) has been granted CE mark certification, allowing its use in Europe for treating spinal conditions that require pedicle-screw fixation.
The device, which is part of the company’s SteriSpine PS product line, helps to improve bone anchorage in patients with osteoporosis.
The screw features a new thread design that is more securely fixed into the patient’s vertebral pedicle, reducing the risk of instability caused by bone weakness.
