EU Falls Short in Bid to Force AstraZeneca to Speed Deliveries of Its Covid-19 Vaccine
The EU has been unsuccessful in litigation aimed at making AstraZeneca meet its contractual commitments to deliver COVID-19 vaccine shipments on time.
A Brussels court ruled that AstraZeneca is not required to supply 120 million vaccine doses by the end of this month, the timetable the 27-member trade bloc was seeking.
But the court did mandate that 80 million doses must be delivered by Sept. 27, and that the company will face a fine for each dose not delivered by that deadline.
