LGC SeraCare Gets CE Mark for COVID-19 and Other Respiratory Virus Reference Kit
Milford, Mass.-based LGC SeraCare has received a CE mark for its AccuPlex SARS-CoV-2, Flu A/B and RSV molecular controls kit.
The company first released a kit for the coronavirus that causes COVID-19 infection in March 2020. The latest kit, with the reference material for other respiratory viruses, is the fifth the company has made that has earned a CE mark.
LGC SeraCare says its AccuPlex technology mimics wild-type pathogenic viruses, but is safe, noninfectious and does not lead to replication in human cells.
