Man & Science’s Chronic Cluster Headache Treatment Designated a Breakthrough Device
Man & Science has received the FDA’s Breakthrough Device designation for its minimally invasive neuromodulation therapy for the treatment of chronic cluster headache.
In a June filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, another device company, Nyxoah, said that Belgium-based Man & Science had reached an agreement with several other companies to share ownership and licensing rights for several inventions. Those inventions include implantable, flexible neurostimulators and devices for sleep-disordered breathing, head pain, glucose monitoring, hypertension and other indications.
The Man & Science breakthrough device is dubbed the Occipital Nerve Field Stimulation System.
