Canon Medical Gets FDA’s 510(k) Clearance for its Vantage Fortian MRI System
Canon Medical has received the FDA’s 510(k) clearance for its Vantage Fortian 1.5T magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system.
The system, which features artificial intelligence-based software that automates scan planning for the liver, prostate and whole spine, is an open-bore, 1.5T MRI with remote tablet and an in-room camera for monitoring and positioning patients.
Vantage Fortian uses machine learning to enhance image quality by removing “noise” from the scanned images and confirms set-up steps to save time and reduce errors, the company said.
