Qure.ai’s Breathing Tube Placement Software Gains 510(k) Clearance
Qure.ai has gained 510(k) marketing clearance from the FDA for its qXR-BT artificial intelligence (AI) algorithm for assessing breathing tube placements.
The algorithm uses chest X-rays to help clinicians treating intubated patients to determine the placement of breathing tubes, giving a report on the tube’s position in less than a minute. This enables clinicians to decide if repositioning is needed.
The algorithm is vendor-agnostic and is designed to work on both portable and stationary X-ray machines, the company said.
