Staar Surgical Gets FDA’s Premarket Approval for Its Implantable Collamer Lenses
Staar Surgical Company has been granted the FDA’s premarket approval for its EVO/EVO+ Visian implantable lens for correction of myopia and myopia with astigmatism.
The Lake Forest, Calif.-based company said that more than a million EVO lenses have already been implanted outside the U.S.
Sales of the lenses outside the U.S. increased by 51 percent in 2021 and have more than doubled since 2018, Staar Surgical said.
